The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI)
delivers, through research and development, innovation to enhance the
food, fibre and bioscience industries and living environmental systems.
SARDI is a division of Primary Industry and Regions SA (PIRSA).
In line with the PIRSA Reconciliation Action Plan, SARDI promotes
opportunities which support Aboriginal people with their aspirations of
sustainable solutions within primary industries, and invests in future
workforces by supporting tertiary-level students through the
establishment of a bursary for Aboriginal students.
The SARDI Science Bursary for Aboriginal Students provides $1500 to
an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander graduate to undertake
post-graduate study in science at a tertiary institution in Australia.
Applications are invited from honours graduates currently undertaking
or wishing to undertake post-graduate studies in agriculture, fisheries
or forestry science.
Applicants must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and their
application will be considered on the merit of their research program
and how it directly relates to the research undertaken within SARDI.
Applications will be assessed by a selection panel and the successful applicant will be announced at the end of March each year.
Download an application form (.doc 145.0 KB) or contact Pauline Bowden at SARDI on (08) 8303 9420 or e-mail: pauline.bowden@sa.gov.au for more information.
